What are your qualifications? I hold an MSc from Imperial College London and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from GIKI, where I graduated as Valedictorian and Gold Medalist. I have been a full-time professional tutor since 2019, with over 15,000 hours of tutoring experience.

What levels and subjects do you teach? I teach Maths and Science from GCSE through A-Level and IB, as well as engineering modules at university level, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and mechanics.

Are lessons online or in person? All lessons are conducted online, using a digital whiteboard and screen sharing so explanations are clear and interactive, just like an in-person lesson. This also means I can work with students anywhere in the world.

How do online lessons actually work? Lessons take place over zoom video call using an interactive digital whiteboard, where I can write, draw diagrams and work through problems in real time. Students can ask questions, share their own working, and everything is explained step by step, just as it would be in person.

How long is each lesson? Lessons are typically 1 hour, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs, age and how much content needs to be covered.

How often should my child have lessons? This depends on the student’s current level, target grade and how close exams are. Most students have weekly lessons, with more frequent sessions recommended closer to exam periods. I’ll recommend a suitable frequency after the free consultation.

Do you offer a free consultation? Before starting lessons, I offer a free consultation to discuss the student’s current level, exam board, target grade and main areas of difficulty, so we can agree on the right plan going forward.

What happens in the first lesson? The first lesson is typically a diagnostic session, where I assess the student’s current understanding, identify knowledge gaps and exam technique issues, and use this to build a targeted lesson plan going forward.

Do you provide homework or extra practice? After most lessons, students receive homework or practice questions related to what was covered, along with guidance on how to approach them, to reinforce learning between sessions.

Do you give feedback to parents? Yes, I provide regular updates on progress, effort and areas for improvement, so parents stay informed without needing to ask.

What if my child needs help across multiple subjects? That’s not a problem. I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, so students needing support across several STEM subjects can work with one consistent tutor rather than juggling different teachers.

Do you teach students with different exam boards? Yes, I teach across all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and IGCSE at GCSE and A-Level, as well as the IB curriculum. Lessons are tailored to your specific specification.

What age range or year groups do you teach? I work with students from Year 9 through to university level, covering GCSE, A-Level, IB and undergraduate engineering students.

Can you help students who are already doing well and want top grades? Yes, I work with students at every level, including high achievers aiming for the very top grades (9s at GCSE, A/A* at A-Level, 6/7 at IB). Lessons for these students focus on advanced technique and the fine details that make the difference at the top end.

Can you help students who are struggling or behind? Yes, absolutely. I regularly work with students who are behind or lacking confidence, starting with the fundamentals and building up steadily so they can catch up and improve with confidence.

Do you help with exam technique, not just content? Yes, exam technique is a core part of how I teach. Many students understand the content but lose marks due to poor exam technique. I focus heavily on past papers, mark schemes and how examiners actually award marks.

What technology or equipment does my child need? Just a laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection, a webcam and microphone .No special software installation is usually required, as lessons are run through a browser-based platform.

What if my child doesn’t improve after a few lessons? Progress varies by student, but I closely monitor performance from the first lesson and adjust the approach as needed. I also provide honest feedback if a student needs to put in more independent work outside of lessons, since consistent improvement requires effort on both sides.
